Kalpatta Narayanan is a poet and critic. Samayaprabhu, Ethilayum Madhurikkunna Kadukalil, and Orkkapurangal are his major poetry anthologies. His novels are Ithramathram and Evidamividam. Narayanan has also published a number of studies, criticisms, and general essays, and Ente Basheer is a collection of essays on Vaikom Muhammed Basheer`s literary world. He also writes columns for newspapers and magazines. He has received numerous awards, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Literary Criticism in 2017.
