T Padmanabhan is a highly acclaimed short story writer in Malayalam. Some of his best known works include Prakasam Parathunna Oru Penkutty, Gouri, Kadal, and Maraya. His major works have been translated into several Indian languages and foreign languages. He is the recipient of several prestigious honours, including the Ezhuthachan Puraskaram, the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, and the Vayalar Award.
