Dr Anu Pappachan is a writer and film critic. She was the jury member (film writing) for the Kerala State Television Award 2021–22 and was the selection committee member for the signature film, SAMAM, a gender equality project by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala, coordinated by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. She has edited Sharadpraba, a book about actress Urvasi Sharada, for Chalachitra Academy and written `Vellithirayile PenKalangal,` a series about Malayalam heroines in Desabhimani Weekly.
