Academic, critic, editor and translator, P.P Raveendran is known for his lucid interpretations of texts and trends in Indian literature. His most recent work, Texts Histories Geographies: Reading Indian Literature, raises issues pertaining to the constitution of Indian literature as an object of knowledge. His work of translation, The Cat Is My Grief Today and Other Poems has been greatly appreciated by the reading public. He is currently co-editing a massive two-volume anthology of Malayalam literature (Oxford Anthology of Malayalam Literature 1889-2009) for the Oxford University Press.
P. P Raveendran is a Professor of English at School of Letters, Mahatma Gandhi University, where he also edits the literary journal Haritham.
