A senior geologist in the geology department, Divakaran Vishnumangalam has published 8 poetry collections including Nirvachanam, Padavali, Jeevante Button, Dhamanikal, Raavorma and Muthassi Kaathirikkunnu.
He is the recipient of many awards including VT Kumaran Memorial Poetry Award, Mahakavi Kuttamath Award, Kanakashree Endowment Award of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi and Vyloppilly Award.
He represented Malayalam poetry at the National Poetry Conference held in Guwahati on the Republic Day in 2010.
