Professor T.P. Singh is working as an SERB-Distinguished Fellow at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has made outstanding contributions on the structures and functions of a number of mammalian, bacterial, fungal and plant proteins. He has worked extensively on peptide design using dehydro-amino acid residues and on the discovery of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agents. He has published more than 420 research articles in the peer reviewed scientific journals. He has submitted more than 600 protein structures in the protein data bank (PDB). He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences (FTWAS), Indian National Science Academy (FNA), the Academy of Sciences (FASc), the National Academy of Sciences (FNASc) and the Biotech Research Society of India (FBRS). Currently, he is President of the Biotech Research Society of India (BRSI) and Bioinformatics and Drug Design Society (BIDDS).
