Indira Basu functions as a commissioning editor, and dabbles in politics, culture, environment, and internal security. Her Masters thesis was on Bastar and the Naxal movement. She is also an interviewer, and among her interviewees are: Edward Snowden's lead attorney, William Dalrymple, Mark Tully, and Sachin Pilot, among others. When she's not busy overseeing editorials and op-eds, she functions as a board member of the Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN). She also delivers talks on Indian media, and climate action, and recently spoke about the role of the youth in climate action at TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi.
