Arundhati Roy once again marked her presence at KLF 2019 and this time it was for the session "The Literature of Politics". Journalist Anjana Shankar shared the dais with Roy conversing on her fictional works and its politics. Several questions were asked about the controversial statement that she had made about Gandhi on the previous day at KLF, to which Roy replied that she firmly stands by what she has said. Roy recalled her state of shock when Gauri Lankesh was murdered as part of RSS’s hindutva agenda.
The politics in her books, "The God of Small Things" and the "Ministry of Utmost Happiness" stood as key topics of discussion. Roy added that 'God of Small Things' is far more political than "The Ministry of Utmost Happiness". The session ended with an engaging interactive session with the audience.
