"We are intolerant to the intolerance," said Satchidanadan in the session Shreekal Malachavitunnu, held on the second day of the Kerala Literature Festival. The panel consisted of a galaxy of luminaries, including litterateurs such as C.S. Chandrika, Anand and Shahjahan Madampat.
According to C.S. Chandrika feminity and gender equality is measured by the conventional development indicators. The quality of the culture in a society is hurt by fascism, quoted Anand. According to him the Sabarimala issue is a significant symbol to remind people about the degradation of integrity in Kerala.
The session concluded with each of them agreeing to the Supreme Court verdict on Sabarimala that women, irrespective of their age women should be allowed to enter the shrine.
