P.F. Mathews began by saying, "Endings cannot be planned as life is unpredictable." During the discussion regarding stories and their endings, when asked about the influences in life, Mathews explicitly claimed that he was not influenced by any writer rather it were movies that influenced him. He also opined that meaningful images can only be made through movies and words lose their value when used multiple times. According to him, imagery could be used instead of words. He also added, "I always look for images for mind."
P.F. Mathews replied that, "Novel and cinema are two parallel lines that should never meet." When asked about death being mentioned in their novels, C.V. Balakrishnan and P.F. Mathews shared similar views. C.V. Balakrishnan commented that, "Death is inevitable and is the reality of life."
"A person's life can only be valued after his death," P.F. Mathews added. The session ended with a discussion regarding homosexuality.
