The Indian ambassador to the Netherlands, Venu Rajamony, Paul K. Thomas, V. Sanal Kumar, Ar. Vivek P.P. and Abdul Malik came together to discuss the models of sustainable future at the KLF 2019. The moderator of the session was Dileep Narayanan. The session began by the moderator, Dileep Narayanan talking about the relation between 'Mother' and 'Nature". He continued by saying that instead of a "take, make and waste" approach we must go for a 'borrow, use and replace' approach.
Venu Rajamony added that sustainable development is a zero-waste approach and that our aim should also be the same. V. Sunil Kumar began by raising the question that is it the responsibility of the government or the individual to bring development.
'What We Can Learn from the Dutch' authored by Venu Rajamony and Rakesh, a young architect practising in the Netherlands, was launched towards the end of the session.
