Why Malayalee doesn't learn the lesson of unity and brotherhood from all the disasters is an important question we ought to seek answer to! The session began with the introduction of Mr Sethu, Benyamin and Manoj Kuroor. Mr N.P. Hafiz Mohammed was the moderator of the session. Since they were all victims of the floods, the moderator requested them to share their experiences. Sethu, one of the famous writers in Malayalam Fiction, who had witnessed the disaster, recalled his experiences during childhood and compared it with the recent catastrophe. "Mentally I am not out of it," he was quoted as saying. Sethu also added that the youth who we neglect were the ones who stood by the victims.
Benyamin added that we are reason behind the disasters and that the flood itself is a consequence of the exploitation of the land. Sethu mentioned "Chekkuttypava" as a post-flood initiative. The session was concluded with the note that the thought on Nature should not be confined to the times of floods and similar havocs.
