Kerala Literature Festival hosted a book review session of two of the newly published books from eminent writers, Ambikasuthan Mangad and B. Murali. V.V. Sunil was the moderator of the session. 'Kaadinullil Rahasyamaayi Ozhukunna Nadhikal', a depiction of environmental instability, by Ambikasuthan Mangad grabbed the headlines.
Mangad appeared concerned about the current environmental issues. The book being a collection of short stories, explores different themes and subjects from the story of a young girl going to the woods and eventually falling in love with a King Cobra, to the story 'Uthuppaante Kunnu' an extension of Karur's story, 'Uthuppaante Kinar'.
'One will never know one's secrets,' writer and journalist, B Murali was quoted as saying. His talk focussed on his work 'Bicycle Realism'. He also stood for the notion that writers should posses responsible freedom of expression in order to write liberally.
The session concluded with an active participation of the audience debating about Marquez's Magical Realism.
