Organized by DC Kizhakemuri Foundation The Kerala Literature Festival, which is the second largest literary festival in India, features over 500 speakers in over 250 sessions for four continuous days in five venues. KLF in its third run is supported by Incredible India, Kerala Tourism, cultural departments of State Government and various other institutions and organisations.
Acclaimed writer M T Vasudevan will inaugurate the four day festival on 8th February. Popular Poet K.Satchidanandan is the festival director with Bina Paul as the film festival curator.
The KLF has Ireland as guest nation featuring ten authors from Ireland including Gabriel Rosenstock, Amanda Bell and Alan Titley. The Irish ambassador to India will be a guest of honour at KLF Opening ceremony.
The festival has many unique guests like Novelist Arundhati Roy who will make her first appearance at a literature festival in her writing career at the KLF. World-famous Indian historian Romila Thapar, Prakash Raj, Rajdeep Sardesai, Kavitha Lankesh and Kanhaiya Kumar will be on featured on various discussions. The American linguist and social critic Noam Chomsky, 89, will be video-interviewed live at one of the sessions.
KLF in its third run has already become a role model for various other literature festivals in Kerala and outside. The KLF, presented by the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation, is supported by Kerala Tourism and Incredible India.
