The book talk, on Feni Daze, by Mathew Vincent Menachery was discussed and analysed at the session led by Syke AK.
Drawing parallels to the protagonists being Malayalis and alcoholics in both his works, Vincent said that "I am a Malayali through and through," and said, that was the sole reason for his protagonists being Malayalis in both the works. Pointing out the title of both his books related to alcohol, he explained that they were suggested by his brother. As Feni Daze was set in Goa, and Feni is the drink of choice there.
The author also read an excerpt from his book and explained the relevance of that part in the book, talking about the past. He also mentioned that this work is written in a non-linear way because there are four places where the story takes one through.
The conversation filled with humour, stories, and fun fact about the novel, it definitely left the audience wanting to read the work.
