Lajo Jose in conversation with GR Indugopan
"The role of childhood in a writer’s work is really big," states G. R Indugopalan, the writer of Twinkle Rosayum Pandrandu Kamukanmarum in the fifth edition of Kerala Literature Festival. All the characters and works were pondered upon without revealing the suspense of the plot.
The story revolved around the life of Twinkle Rosa, her life and the men that she loves. The author said that the protagonist Twinkle Rosa is actually a metaphorical portrayal of the scenic beauty of Ashtamudi Lake, where the author spend a major part of his childhood. When asked on how he wrote the novel, so intricate an detailed and whether it was intended, Indugopan told that he always wrote directly and utilised the events in his life as per the requirements of the novel and never makes an attempt to portray anything that he doesn't know.
The entire session was successful in showcasing the writer and traced the story behind his narratives.
