In light of the book, Early Indians, the author Tony Joseph talked about the four classes of migration in history that shaped the world and which gradually led to the population expansion around the world. Two classes of migration which came from West Asia and East Asia were the only migrations that created a significant impact in India. He was in conversation with Sam Santhosh on the second day of the Kerala Literature Festival.
Tony Joseph mentioned that any Indian from the current republic of India shares their ancestry with the first Indians who are the tribal people. The migrations from Central Asia and the cross cultural migrations marked the beginning of caste system.
The session also discussed about the propagation of languages through migration of people. 'Arya' and 'Dravida' are languages that the people spoke and it is not a race, stated Tony Joseph.
The conversation conveyed that people are all the same no matter what the civilizations and the class system had brought upon them.
